NOTE: This feature is coming soon! If you have questions about this tool or would like to be notified about updates, contact LabArchives support.

Note: The LabArchives/REDCap integration requires set up and configuration by your institutions REDCap Administrators. Contact LabArchives Support support@labarchives.com and/or the REDCap Consortium for more details.

What is REDCap?

REDCap offers a free, easy-to-use, and secure method of flexible yet robust data collection. People can take surveys from remote locations and the data is stored in a central institution provided secure server.

If the LabArchives integration for REDCap has been configured for your institution, you will see an option to “Upload to LabArchives” when viewing a report in REDCap.

Note: The exact location for this button may vary between different configurations of REDCap and the live filters used for the report.

Connect your REDCap account to LabArchives

If this is your first time accessing LabArchives from REDCap you will be prompted to input the email address that you use for LabArchives and the password token for your account. To learn more about Password Tokens (Click Here).

This automatically connects your LabArchives account and REDCap account. The information is saved so you should only need to do this once.

Upload a Report to LabArchives

Once you have logged in, you’ll be prompted to select a notebook that you own where the report will be uploaded. Select the notebook and click “Upload” to send the file.

Note: Before uploading, ensure that you are exporting the correct information. If necessary, ensure that the file is anonymized and deidentified before uploading.

In the selected LabArchives notebook, the report will be stored in a folder called “REDCap.” If there is not a folder named “REDCap” in this notebook, a new folder will be created automatically. The page and file name will include the date and time that the file was uploaded and the name of the report. To learn more about working with attachments stored in LabArchives Click Here.
