We are growing fast at LabArchives and we are very excited to announce the addition of two new people to our global team. Our main offices are located in Carlsbad, CA and the D.C. metropolitan area, but LabArchives team members can be found scattered throughout the states and abroad. Spread across at least nine time zones at any one time we don’t get to work together in person everyday but we keep things moving with video calls, emails and virtual water cooler chat like our NCAA March Madness bracket pool (the east coast LabArchives team performed very well this year).
Meet our newest members!
Linda Cubias
Where are you from? I was born in Chicago but grew up in Florida. I have also lived in Rockville, MD and Charlotte, NC.
Where do you live now? Melbourne, FL – part of central FL on the Space Coast near Cape Canaveral.

What LA office are you based out of or do you work remotely? I work remotely from my home office.
First job? My first job was at a deli making sandwiches and the best turkey reuben in the area!
What were you up to before joining the LabArchives team? Before LabArchives I spent 15-years in the education industry serving academic libraries.
How’d you find LabArchives? Through my LinkedIn network and through some former colleagues.
What’s your role at LabArchives? I am an Enterprise Customer Success Manager and help to on-board customers, take them through the initial product implementation, ensure their training and education needs are met and then help them to grow usage and adoption of LabArchives.
What are you excited about in this new role? I’m excited to work for a company that is growing and is passionate about customer care. I’m also really excited to work directly with researchers to help improve the management of their data.
Last trip you took for fun? We are surrounded by water where we live and my family enjoys spending time at the beach and going out to the river to go kayaking and paddle boarding.
Any pets? A seven-month old Weimaraner puppy named Luna.
Where are you working from today? I am working from my home office today in sunny Melbourne, FL (as we prepare for the approach of Hurricane Dorian)!
Donghyun Lee
Where are you from? I am from South Korea. I moved to the US to attend the University of Wisconsin. I met my wife at school and now we have two children, a 9 year old boy and 14 year old girl.
Where do you live now? I live in the Chicago area. I moved to Chicago after graduation to be near my wife’s family and I’ve lived in the area ever since.

First job? My first job was with Motorola. This was pre-Android and pre-iPhone. Motorola was one of the biggest companies in the world (they had about 100,000 employees). They paid for all of my moving and living costs so I had no reason to decline the job. It didn’t last long though..
What were you up to before joining the LabArchives team? I was working with Nick Korbel at Pampered Chef. Nick left that job to try out something else and introduced me to LabArchives. I think LabArchives has a lot of potential and an exciting future so I am very excited to join the team.
How’d you find LabArchives? Nick introduced me to the company. Nick and I first met 11 years ago at Redbox. We had a lot of fun and did great work there and I believe we can do the same here at LabArchives. LabArchives is the 4th company we’ve worked at together.
What’s your role at LabArchives? I am a Senior Full Stack Developer. I will mainly work with Nick and Markus to develop a new Lab Inventory site.
What are you excited about in this new role? I talked to Kirk and Markus before I joined the company and they both are extremely smart but humble. I strongly believe that good people make a great company and I am very happy to be working with all the great people here at LabArchives.
Last trip you took for fun? Last summer we did an east coast trip and visited New York, Washington DC, Toronto and Montreal. I am planning to visit Calgary and Banff National Park this summer.

Any pets? 2 kids are enough of a handful for me… 🙂
Where are you working from today? My nice and cozy home office.
We are so excited to have added two more talented and interesting people to our team! But we aren’t done yet. Do you or someone you know want to join a fast paced, dynamic team? Check out our open roles here.
